This process accounts for varying month lengths (28–31 days) and leap years, which add an extra day to February every four years. Leap Year Handling

Chronological age is the precise time elapsed since birth. Legal age, on the other hand, refers to statutory thresholds — such as the age of majority, voting age, or drinking age — which differ across jurisdictions.
